NOSI and Chinese company HUAWEI sign memorandum of understanding

Praia, April 17 (Inforpress) – The Operational Unit for Information Society (NOSi) and Huawei Technologies, a multinational company of equipment for Chinese networks and telecommunications, signed a memorandum of understanding today in Praia to strengthen cooperation in the field of ICT.

In addition to committing themselves to working together to strengthen information and communication technology (ICT) cooperation with this memorandum the two companies intend to jointly develop the ICT market and customers, as well as establish a strategic partnership, in which Huawei will cooperate with NOSI in the development of the e-governance market.

The cooperation agreement will allow the development and implementation of End-to-End Electronic Governance solutions in the fields of Education, Health and Social Security, Local Governance, Land Management, dematerialisation of records, identification and authentication of people and documents and other activities of public domains.

The signing ceremony, which took place in the Prime Minister’s Office, was attended by the Cabo Verde’s Prime Minister JoseUlisses Correia e Silva and Chinese’s ambassador to Cabo Verde, Du Xiaocong.
