Praia, July 13 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Association of Municipalities of Cabo Verde (ANMCV), Manuel de Pina, considered Monday that the non-approval of the Special Statute of Praia was a “huge violence” for the capital of the country.
In a statement to Inforpress, reacting because the draft law that regulates the Special Administrative Statute of the Capital of Cabo Verde was voted down on Friday, in Parliament, Manuel de Pina noted that this fact will not take the city from its “brilliance” and path towards development”.
“There was a huge violence in relation to Praia and the MPs who voted against it failed completely”, he observed.
Even so, he indicated that city of Praia will continue to fight for its development and to improve the situation of all the people it welcomes, ”being certain, that it is an increasingly distant path because the pressure on the Cabo Verde capital city continues to persist”.
