Nova Sintra, Jun 13 (Inforpress) – The coladeiras (dancers) and drummer of the flag festivals were happy to resume the tradition after the two years of interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In statements to Inforpress, Maria Bárbara said that the “pilon or kutxi” (pestle) is tradition of the flag, always made on the eve of the festivals, where usually many people participate, but this year the Santo Antonio “pilon” did not have much support by the Brava population.
According to the same source, the support will be each year “weaker”, because the young people are already “not” so attached to traditional rituals.
Usually, about this tradition, the same source said that “men play the drum, or even some women of courage, other women sing and “dance” to the rhythm of touch and all those interested participate in the usual “kutxi midjo” (squeeze the maize in the pestle) and, in this same space, are those who distribute the food and drinks”.
