Praia, June 8 (Inforpress) – The new electricity and water tariffs have been in effect since the 12AM of Wednesday, 7th, with increases in the order of 7.70% and 3.28%, respectively, for the Electra company, according to a statement from ARE.
According to the new update, electricity tariffs for Electra increased by 1.80 ECV / kWh at all levels and water tariffs increased by 10.89 ECV / M3, representing, respectively an increase in the average tariff of 7.70% for electricity and 3.28% for water.
In relation to Águas e Energia da Boa Vista (AEB), electricity tariffs increased by 1.17 ECV / kWh and water tariffs an increase of 6.02 ECV / m3, representing respectively an increase in the average tariff of 4.48% for electricity and 1.31% for water.
The Economic Regulation Agency (ARE) justifies this new tariff with the provisions of article 11 of Decree-Law no. 27/2003 of 25 August, which approves the Statutes of the ARE, and according to the tariff indexation methodology due to the change in the cost of fuels that fixes new electricity and water tariffs for Electra and AEB.
