Municipality Day: “Brava” brand presented to the public through Renda Brava products Nova Sintra, Jun 24 (Inforpress) – The first collection by Renda Brava products project, which represents the Brava brand, was presented to the citizens of Brava, in an exhibition organized by CNAD and the City Hall, in Nova Sintra. At the inauguration, the director of the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD), Irlando Ferreira, showed that the exhibition and the brand represent the achievement of a “very great” challenge, because working from São Vicente to Brava, through digital means, “is completely different” than when working in person. As he pointed out, since 2018, when the project began, they were already aware that it would be a challenge, but the motivation of the creatives, both designers and the hand-embroidered made by women, made the CNAD and everyone involved bet everything was possible so that the project could get to what it is today. According to this official, the hand-embroidered made by women in Brava no longer exists for several years, and the CNAD wanted with the project to bring hand-embroidered made by women that had identity and symbology with this island, explaining the care the team had in carrying out the work. New normal has become the pandemic and its conditioning effects – Minister of Foreign Affairs

Praia, Jan 18 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Figueiredo e Soares, said on Tuesday, in the City of Praia that the new normal has become the pandemic and its conditioning effects.

The Minister made this statement by presiding over the opening of the Annual Conference on Foreign Policy 2022 (CAPE 22), on the theme “Challenges of Cabo Verdean diplomacy due the COVID-19 pandemic”, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, aiming to give continuity and regularity to the reflection and debate on issues that challenges national foreign policy and its diplomacy.

“The new normal has become the pandemic and its conditioning effects, interfering or modifying the administrative, economic, labour, social, cultural functioning of all societies, and mental and behavioral of all people, exposing the diversity of the fragilities of populations and imposing communication technologies as a resource and solution to the demands of physical distancing and prevention in general”,  he told.

According to Rui Figueiredo and Soares, this conference was preceded by a preparatory workshop held in December that, on the one hand, focused on the immediate responses to the health, economic and social crisis and, on the other hand, analyzed the performance of diplomacy during the pandemic phase, highlighting its role in mobilizing resources, including access to vaccines.
