Praia, Sep 15 (Inforpress) – The new administrator of the Cabo Verdean Press Agency (Inforpress), José Vaz Furtado, elects financial sustainability as a major challenge of his management, and points out as one of the ways to mobilize revenue through the marketing of content.
José Vaz Furtado, who took over as sole administrator of Inforpress today, states that at a time of crisis, almost endemic in the sector, it is necessary to find other sources of funding and not depend solely on the State grant.
“The Press Agency provides a public service and this public service is subsidized by the State. But we understand that Inforpress should also seek to mobilize its own revenues, through the marketing of content, developing strategies to also relieve the State”, he said.
To this end, he will bet on the quality and diversification of products to attract potential customers, bet on news sales packages to newspapers, on news products segmented thematically according to customer demand and sale of products directly to new media distributors such as Facebook and Google.
