Praia, Nov 8 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Union of Nurses and Health Technicians (SNETS) announced a three-day strike (14, 15 and 16), calling for a set of unfair situations to take place in the Dr. Agostinho Neto Hospital, Praia.
In a statement today to Inforpress, SNETS president José Manuel Pereira Vaz reported that the strike decision came out of the general assembly of the union held in October 27, and the notice of the strike was sent to the competent authorities, as well as the reasons justifying such deliberation.
“We were contacted today by the Directorate-General for Labor, but until then we were given no guarantee on the claims, because there was no consensus between the parties”, he said, stressing that in the meantime the strike will be to ” fulfill”.
According to José Manuel Pereira Vaz, the increase in workload, salary reduction and a number of other situations that are happening at Dr. Agostinho Neto Hospital (HAN) are included in the list of claims.
