Praia, Sep 18 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) highlighted the importance of patient safety for health, despite recognizing that much remains to be done in this area.
Maria da Luz Lima made this consideration, Thursday, at the opening session of the online round table, held within the scope of the
World Patient Safety Day, observed this Thursday, on the subject of patient safety.
This year, the date is marked on the theme “Health worker safety: a priority for patient safety” and the slogan “Safe health workers, safe patients”, thus making an interconnection between the health professional’s safety and of the patient.
“It is a very important topic, especially in this time of COVID-19, when the general world considers the issue of preventive measures for health security to be relevant, with the aim of reducing infections, said Maria da Luz Lima, for whom it is important to reflect on the topic.
