Calheta, São Miguel, Jun 11 (Inforpress) – The National Care Plan has already trained 315 young people nationwide to care for children and will remain one of the Government’s bets it wants to eliminate extreme poverty and reduce absolute poverty.
The information was provided by the Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire, during his speech at the closing of the childhood caregivers training of 20 young women from the municipality of São Miguel, which took place this Thursday, in the Noble Hall of the City Hall.
“Over the years we have already formed 315 young people to take care of children, it is an extraordinary achievement the Government has done in recent years. Let us continue, because with this legislature our focus will be to eliminate extreme poverty and reduce absolute poverty. This is a great investment in the base”, said the ruler.
As he explained, this “big investment in the base” that will equalize people’s opportunities and allow the “country to grow more” in the post-covid-19, he said, involves extending the network of caregivers to daycare centers, making access mandatory to preschoolers and certifying the services of caregivers creating a professional portfolio for these caregivers.
