City of Praia, Apr. 04 (Inforpress) – The National Jorge Barbosa Auditorium will host the national final of urban dances “Freestyle Battle Zone” on Sunday, the 09th, with the participation of 12 competitors from various islands, in order to compete for the championship title.
In statements to Inforpress, the project manager of “Freestyle is the future” and hip-hop dance teacher, Rogério Rodrigues, known as Roca, said that this event is part of the celebration of the first anniversary of this project, which was marked on March 02, and also within the framework of the end of a year of “on style” dance battle.
This initiative, according to Rogério Rodrigues, aims to revitalize urban dances in Cape Verde, which allow people to express their emotions and feelings through dance.
In this final, according to the manager, 12 competitors will participate, six from Praia and three each from the islands of São Vicente and Santo Antão.
