National Assembly wants to reactivate cooperation agreement with Brazil in the various sectors

Praia, Oct 12 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Assembly, Austelino Correia, today praised the level of historical relations and friendship between Cabo Verde and Brazil, adding that the parliaments of the two countries will reactivate the cooperation agreement in the various sectors.

The head of the parliamentary house provided this information, in a press conference, held this afternoon in the City of Praia, to talk about the meeting with the president of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil, Artur Lira, who made a technical stopover at the Nelson Mandela international airport, in the early hours of Monday.

During the meeting it was possible to review what have been the actions on cooperation and parliamentary diplomacy between Cabo Verde and Brazil.

“We have cooperation in the most diverse pillars especially in the pillars of education and training with thousands of students already have been graduated in Brazil, we also have cooperation program with Brazil in the defense and maritime security, there is cooperation program between the two judicial police and also at this time there is a naval mission from Brazil with the Cabo Verde Coast Guard”, he stated.
