São Filipe, Aug 12 (Inforpress) – The Government values the sports infrastructure of Ribeira do Ilhéu, which is “an effort of the City Hall with strong support of emigrants” in the USA, and ensures its engagement in the project’s second phase, said Lourenço Lopes.
The Deputy Secretary of State of the Prime Minister, who represents the Government in the Municipality of Mosteiros Day celebrations, announced the engagement of the Government moments after the inauguration of the Alírio Lopes de Pina Stadium, in Ribeira do Ilhéu, whose execution was supported by municipal funds and the participation of emigrants.
“There will be an engagement of the Government of Cabo Verde in the project’s second phase,” said Lourenço Lopes, stressing that the guarantee resulted from the approach with the Minister of Youth and Sport and the Prime Minister.
The Deputy Secretary of State of the Prime Minister also noted that the Government acts with certain principles and the priority is to ensure that in each municipality there is a grass football field, highlighting that Mosteiros already had one.
