Monte Trigo: Fishermen with “uninterrupted, continuous and predictable” access to ice – Association

Porto Novo, Sep 14 (Inforpress) – The fish conservation is no longer a problem for the fishermen of Monte Trigo, an isolated fishing community in the countryside of Porto Novo, who start to acquire ice in an “uninterrupted, continuous and predictable way ”.

The Agripesca Association gave the information, at this time when it takes over the management of the ice house, ensuring this raw material from the fisheries sector in that locality with “dozens” of fishermen without any problems.

“The ice house starts to ensure uninterrupted, continuous and predictable access to ice for all fishermen in Monte Trigo”, informed this association, which, through a note, highlights the impact of the project on fishing activity in the locality.

This infrastructure, which underwent expansion works, in an investment of around eight million escudos, has an autonomous system for production of photovoltaic solar electric energy of 15 kWp and the installation of new machines, which result in a daily availability of 500 kilograms / day of ice.
