MNE highlights strengthening bilateral cooperation with EU countries and says Cabo Verde is well on its way

Praia, May 4 (Inforpress) – The Foreign Minister Luis Filipe Tavares on Wednesday highlighted the deepening and strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Cabo Verde and the European Union (EU) countries within the framework of the  Cabo Verde / European Union Special Partnership, showing optism “because the country is on a good path”.

The minister made comments on this partnership at a press conference in Praia, where he reviewed the recent trip to Central and Eastern Europe in a mission to raise awareness and strengthen the Cabo Verde / European Union Special Partnership.

“The visit went very well and I came back from Europe with the feeling of accomplishment and above all that Cabo Verde is on a good path,” said the minister, stressing that “path is made by walking.”

In accordance with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the purpose of the visit was to “mobilize support from the Member States of the European Union” visited (Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria, Luxembourg) to deepen this Special Partnership which celebrates 10 years this year.
