Praia, 22 Sep (Inforpress) – The Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Silva, considered today that it is an “important sign” and “very gratifying” to see children associated with the fight against climate change.

“It is very gratifying to see children involved in the fight against climate change, and this is a very important sign,” said the minister.

This action, which takes place under the theme “Climate Action Now” in all schools in the country as part of the civic week, will continue throughout the academic year, both in primary and secondary education, with the development of activities that have to do with increasing knowledge of climate literacy”, said Gilberto Silva, who was speaking at the end of the civic week that culminated in a student march involving all primary schools in Achada Santo António, in the City of Praia.

The governor also mentioned that this action is fundamental, to help the country build a society that is sensitive to this issue and that participates in the design and implementation of everything that serves to combat climate change, that is, that does not allow the planet heats up even more, putting adaptation to the consequences of climate change into question.
