Praia, April 19 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Economy and Employment, Jose da Silva Goncalves, represents Cabo Verde, at the 59th Meeting of the Regional Commission for Africa of the WTO, from today to Friday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
According to a Government note, the meeting of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), which has as its theme “International Year of Sustainable Tourism”, discusses this morning two “hot and important issues” for this organization.
Social inclusion, employment and poverty reduction in the first panel, and the resource efficiency issue, environmental protection and climate change will be under discussion in the second panel.
The secretary general of the WTO, Jordanian Taleb Rifai, who will not be re-elected in next May’s elections, will presided over the meeting and seven candidates (two from each African continent, European and American plus South Korean – by the way the only woman -, Young-shim Dho).
