Mindelo, Jun 9 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Culture, Abraão Vicente, travels to Portugal where he will attend the premiere, on Thursday, the 10th, the “KastroKriola” show, by the Cabo Verdean playwright Caplan Neves, in the Monastery of São Bento da Vitória, in the city of Porto.
Through a note sent to Inforpress, the Ministry of Culture informs that the piece is an adaptation of the original “Castro” by António Ferreira, written in 1598.
The show, according to the same note, is the realization of a project “very relevant” for the internationalization of Cabo Verdean theater and creates joint actions in the context of the production and exhibition of the performing arts, training and theatrical research, signed in 2019 between the governments of Cabo Verde and Portugal, through the protection of culture.
Also in Portugal, the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries will meet with his counterpart, Graça Fonseca, and with Cabo Verdean artists. Also on the agenda are a courtesy visit and working meeting with the Cabo Verdean Association of Lisbon, tertúlia, visit to the rehabilitation work of the TNSJ and the producers Klassik, Broda Music and a working meeting on the National Reading Plan.
