Praia, Jul 09 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Tourism and Transport announced Thursday the creation of a shared management model to Santa Maria beach in which partners should, in six months, present a practical solution for all.
This decision, according to Carlos Santos in statements to The Television of Cabo Verde (TCV), in Sal Island, came out of the meeting he held with the mayor of Sal, with whom he addressed the problems of tourism, with the Santa Maria beach as focus.
“The main objective of the meeting was to look at the problems of Santa Maria beach, which has to do with its planning, cleaning, the issue of street sales, the biggest challenge that is the grant of the blue flag and the possibility of the three institutions being able to develop a set of solutions for integrated and participatory management” he told.
According to the ruler, these are structuring issues for the tourism sector, so everyone should work in partnership in order to remove the problem of overtaking powers and attributions so they can have “unique face” with tour operators and visitors.
