Praia City, April 14 (Inforpress) – The city of Mindelo will host, on Tuesday, the 18th, the VII Ministerial Meeting of the Zone of Peace and Cooperation of the South Atlantic (ZOPACAS), which culminates with the signing of two “main documents” on the declaration and the Action Plan of Mindelo.
This information was advanced today in a press conference by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Figueiredo Soares, in Praia City, to talk about the objectives and other matters related to this event, which takes place at the Scientific and Oceanographic Center, on the island of São Vicente.
According to the minister, these two main documents to be approved at this ministerial meeting will offer guidelines for all the action to be developed in the coming years, adding that Cape Verde will assume its coordination for two years.
“Cape Verde has made itself available to host this meeting and to assume the coordination of these activities for two years, and proposes to contribute to its revitalization, aware of the vast cooperation potential existing between the countries on both sides of the Atlantic,” he said.
