Praia, Aug 10 (Inforpress) – The signing of the management contract with the Icelandic Loftleider Icelandic group is the “fundamental measure” for the successful restructuring of TACV and “essential piece” in the creation of the air hub business in Cabo Verde, says the Government.
Speaking at signing ceremony today at Praia, the Minister of Economy and Employment, José Gonçalves, said that the Government was looking for an international partner “recognized” for its know-how and proven business experience of the air hub.
“We are confident that with the strong partnership of the Icelandair group, led by its leading international business player, the Icelandic Loftleider, TACV today has the basic conditions to give shape to the new business model that is intended to succeed which has been done by the Icelandair group,” he said.
According to the minister, the agreement, which lasts one year, foresees substantial changes in the company’s management model, which will be based on a business plan agreed between the parties in order not only to complete the TACV restructuring process, but above all, to transform Cabo Verde into an operation hub in the middle Atlantic.
The company will now advance with two boeing 757 aircraft, but the business plan provides for up to 11 aircraft to Cabo Verde.
