Porto Ingles, April 24 (Inforpress) – The minister of the Presidency and Parliamentary Affairs and Sports Affairs, Elisio Freire, said today at the end of three days visit to the island that next June will be launched the tender for the construction of the ramp in the current port.
According to the minister, the intervention in the current port will be the “priority of the Government’s priorities” for the Maio Island, noting that three months after the launch of the tender for the construction of the ramp in the current port will be announced the company that will do this work.
He added that the Government intends to provide the island with conditions that could contribute to solving the accessibility problem, a problem that, in his opinion, has been one of the “great constraints” to leverage tourism on the island.
According to the minister, this intervention in the current port is part of the government’s plan for the island for this economic year and is therefore included in this year’s budget.
