Maio: Miguel Rosa classifies ‘Little Africa May’ project ‘structuring’ for island development

Porto Inglês, Apr 26 (Inforpress) – The mayor of Maio, Miguel Rosa, considered the “Little Africa Maio” project will be “structuring” for the development of the island, with “impact at all social levels”, hence deserve “special attention” from the City Hall.

Miguel Rosa participated in the act for the public launch of the project during which several questions and concerns were raised, but promptly clarified by the representative of the International Holding Cabo Verde group (IHCV), led by the Spanish Enrique Bañuellos.

“These were issues and concerns, all of them legitimate, especially at a time when the issue of health security and other levels of security have to be addressed” recalled the mayor, who reiterated that as Maio citizen feels “satisfied”, not only with the project, but with “all the others” are ongoing in the island and those will be announced “soon”.

For Miguel Rosa, this project will have “a big impact” on the island in the various sectors, so he considered it essential the City Hall continue with a “strong commitment” in vocational training and training of local workers and, at the same time, continue to raise awareness among population on issues related to public health and sanitation, with a view to reaching the island “pursued by all”.
