English Port, Nov 02 (Inforpress) – The office of the Cape Verdean Institute for Children and Adolescents, on the island of Maio, awarded with its first Toy Library Center for carrying out extra-school activities for children on the island, in the center, during the day.
Speaking to Inforpress, the President of ICCA, Maria Livramento assured that this center has come to complement the activities that the center of the day has been carrying out. Practically, a month of existence, which has been financed by the Smile Kits Association and other partners such as the Cadjetinha Association, the Ministry of Education Delegation, the Ministry of Health, the Maio Biodiversity Foundation and the Maio Municipal Council.
“With this, we want to demonstrate our partnership with institutions that are engaged in the protection of children, with a view to ensuring that the children of Maio have their rights guaranteed and respected by all”. He stated, stressing that the inauguration of this center will complement the center for day with playful activities, so that they can play and learn various activities.
As the ICCA President advanced, the creation of this center followed the creation of the day center, driven by a foreign investor, Nanda Santoro, which had the prompt collaboration of the Smile Kits association and fostered by other partners.
