Praia, March 13 (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAA) is planning to hold a roundtable at the end of April to discuss with national and international partners the creation and installation of the sectoral fund for water and sanitation.
The announcement was made by Agriculture and Environment Minister Gilberto Silva in a statement to Inforpress before leaving to the United States for a three-day working visit.
The visit will serve to Gilberto Silva and the accompanying delegation to present the Government’s strategic vision for the water and sanitation sector, which has as one of its priorities the structuring of the fund.
According to the minister, it is in this sense that he will take the opportunity to invite the various institutions he will visit to participate in this roundtable on the structuring of the water and sanitation sector fund in Praia, whose works are “well advanced”.
“We are planning to organize this roundtable at the end of April this year,” he said, understanding that consolidating reforms to improve water and sanitation services in the country necessarily entails mobilizing and making good use of financial resources through good management.
