Lisbon: Young people from all Lusophone communities participate in the 2nd World Debating Championship in Portuguese Language

Praia, Apr 23 (Inforpress) – The Debating Society of the University of Lisbon (SDUL) is promoting the second edition of the World Debating Championship in Portuguese Language from April 23 to 28, an event that brings together young people from all Portuguese-speaking communities to share cultures, ideas and develop a critical spirit.

According to an information note published on the official website of SDUL, this championship aims to bring together young people from all over the Portuguese speaking community, fostering critical debate and development along with learning, sharing cultures and living together.

According to the document, the event follows the parliamentary debate and is divided into three components and the competition program provides for a major conference on the first day, followed by training courses on competitive debate and associated topics.

“The event will be marked with the Cycle of Conferences, with renowned guests from Lusophone community, Cycle of Training, online and in person, themes related to the debate and, finally, the Lusophone Tournament, in the form of a Competitive Debate, model Parliament British”, reads the note.
