Lisbon: Cultural Center of Cabo Verde hosts exhibition of paintings “KONEXON”

Praia, Jan 14 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verde Cultural Center (CCCV) in Lisbon opens Thursday, its first exhibition of the year, “KONEXON”, a painting project by Tutu Sousa, Helder Cardoso and Sidney Cerqueira , a trip through Africa.

In a statement sent to Inforpress, it is read that the “KONEXON” experience results from a strong connection between the three visual artists, who despite presenting different styles, have been working together on many projects.

According to the same source, it is a journey through the daily lives of Guinea-Bissau and Cabo Verde with movement, joy and hope for a better future.

Through “KONEXON”, artists draw the attention of the general public to social issues such as domestic violence and child abuse, as well as demonstrating the strengthening of what can be called “historical heritage” between Cabo Verde and Guinea- Bissau, since Tutu Sousa and Helder Cardoso are Cabo Verdeans and Sidney Cerqueira, Guinean.
