Pedra Badejo, Jul 2 (Inforpress) – The coordinator of the “Less alcohol more life” campaign said Wednesday that the biggest challenge of the initiative is to make awareness become attitudes, so that it can, in fact, reduce consumption.
Manuel Faustino made these statements during the ‘online’ event, by video conference, to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the “Less alcohol more life” campaign, an initiative promoted by the Presidency of the Republic.
“The fundamental challenge is to enter a new phase. We can, in fact, say that we have already achieved some level of awareness”, he said, indicating data from 2019 that 90 percent (%) of the population had knowledge on the campaign, which at the time was supported by 97% of Cabo Verdeans.
He highlighted several agreements signed with the companies, as well as partnerships with City Halls and universities. In other hands, the Minister of Education and the Family and Social Inclusion, Maritza Rosabal, acknowledged that in four years the campaign has achieved many gains, but, in her view, it demonstrates that there are still huge challenges in this matter.
