Law clarifying rules for the lack of definition of cultural activities enters into force today

Praia, Oct 19 (Inforpress) – The law approving and clarifying the the rules for the definition of cultural activities and events in Cabo Verde, entered into force this Saturday, 17th.
According to the press release sent to Inforpress, the law is already published in the Official Bulletin, covered by Resolution 141/2020, which defines the framework of specific rules, conditions and procedures to be observed, for public health reasons, in the context of the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, for the organization and carrying out of artistic and cultural activities, in open or closed spaces.
“However, in view of the pandemic situation evolution, the framework of this resolution will be reassessed, in accordance with Article 13, regarding the Reassessment of Measures”, the note reads.
This Thursday, the 15th, the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente, had revealed in a conference that the law now published in the Official Bulletin, “does not create new rules for its operation, it just clarifies”, he stated. The official also stressed that “all events with a maximum capacity of 100 people must have an inspection and prior authorization by the National Health Directorate to comply with the provisions of the law approved in July”.
