Municipality Day: “Brava” brand presented to the public through Renda Brava products Nova Sintra, Jun 24 (Inforpress) – The first collection by Renda Brava products project, which represents the Brava brand, was presented to the citizens of Brava, in an exhibition organized by CNAD and the City Hall, in Nova Sintra. At the inauguration, the director of the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD), Irlando Ferreira, showed that the exhibition and the brand represent the achievement of a “very great” challenge, because working from São Vicente to Brava, through digital means, “is completely different” than when working in person. As he pointed out, since 2018, when the project began, they were already aware that it would be a challenge, but the motivation of the creatives, both designers and the hand-embroidered made by women, made the CNAD and everyone involved bet everything was possible so that the project could get to what it is today. According to this official, the hand-embroidered made by women in Brava no longer exists for several years, and the CNAD wanted with the project to bring hand-embroidered made by women that had identity and symbology with this island, explaining the care the team had in carrying out the work. Launched in Praia “Collection of Agreements for the Elimination of Double Taxation”

Praia, Jun 23 (Inforpress) – “The Collection of Conventions to Avoid Double Taxation and Prevent Tax Evasion” was launched on Wednesday afternoon, in the City of Praia, in order to help justice operators and especially the potential users of the standard.

The publication arose from a partnership between national and international operators, “D. Hopffer Almada & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados”, and the Cabo Verdean tax specialist with many years of experience Maria da Luz Brito.

During his speech at the presentation ceremony, David Hopffer Almada stated that the phenomenon of globalization and the consequent liberalisation of the movement of capital and labour, the removal of trade and customs barriers and market interaction, together with technological advances, characterize the modern digital economy.

In his view, international trade is and will increasingly be one of the priority areas in this increasingly globalized area. Being Cabo Verde a country of medium development, with ambition, but aware of its structural difficulties and consequent limitations, he argued that professionals from all areas, in this case legal specialists, lawyers and legal advisors should be able to follow in some cases until anticipating the evolution of the times to be able to face the difficulties and overcome the limitations.
