Praia, Sep 6 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Gymnastics Federation, Elizandra Varela, said Thursday, in Praia, that the lack of materials represents the “biggest constraint” for the practice of the sport in Cabo Verde.

The official spoke to journalists after officially receiving a set of carpets offered by Portugal, through the country’s Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, João Paulo Rebelo.

“Our biggest constraint is the practicable ones,” said Elizandra Varela, adding that gymnastics materials must be certified by the International Gymnastics Federation.

Elizandra Varela also mentioned the lack of a proper place that gymnastics dreams to having a day to practice the sport, but thanks the direction of the  Vává Duarte Sport Complex, in the city of Praia, which, she said, has contributed “a lot” to the development of gymnastics.
