Mosteiros, Oct 14 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean judoka and fellow of the 2020 Tokyo Games, Djamila Silva, won the bronze medal at the Kiyoshi Kobayashi International Cup, which took place at the Santa Maria Sports Pavilion in Beja, Portugal.
The information was gave by the Cabo Verdean Olympic Committee (COC), explaining that Djamila Silva, who represents the Benfica de Portugal club, managed to collect the medal, after fighting with a Portuguese in the semifinals, in the -52kg category.
International competitions in Portugal, according to the COC note, had been suspended and only now resumed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic with various preventive measures.
