Praia, Mar 31 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, is already in the United States of America for his first Presidency in the Diaspora, with an “intense agenda” of meetings, tributes and distinction ceremonies.
According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, from this Thursday until April 5, José Maria Neves fulfills an “intense agenda” with communities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, in addition to meetings with local authorities, namely Mayors, Governors, and institutions such as universities.
The visit begins, according to the same source, in Hartford and Waterbury, Connecticut, and continues on Saturday, April 1, with a “big meeting” with the community in New Bedford, at the Whaling Museum.
The visit’s agenda also includes meetings with the highest authorities, namely Governors and Mayors and with young leaders and associative movements in the Massachusetts region, in addition to secondary school students and businessmen of Cape Verdean descent.
