At the inauguration, the director of the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD), Irlando Ferreira, showed that the exhibition and the brand represent the achievement of a “very great” challenge, because working from São Vicente to Brava, through digital means, “is completely different” than when working in person. As he pointed out, since 2018, when the project began, they were already aware that it would be a challenge, but the motivation of the creatives, both designers and the hand-embroidered made by women, made the CNAD and everyone involved bet everything was possible so that the project could get to what it is today. José Maria Neves goes to Brussels to take part in the European Development Days

Praia, Jun 20 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, will go to Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the European Development Days on 21 and 22 June, at the invitation of the President of the Commission of the European Union, Ursula von der Leyen.

The information was announced this Saturday, the 18th, in a press release by the press office of the Presidency of the Republic, indicating that the Head of State, who was invited to intervene at the opening of the meeting, will speak to the high entities of Europe and the world on issues related to development in Africa and the Small Island States.

The 2022 edition of the European Development Days will be “Global Gateway: building sustainable partnerships for a connected world” and is expected to bring together some 2.500 high-level participants from around the world, including political leaders and representatives of civil society and the private sector, according to the same source.

“Participants will jointly take stock of progress in implementing the Global Gateway strategy and strengthen partnership efforts based on common values and objectives for green, smart and inclusive investments,” the statement said.
