Joana Rosa defends no postpones of Human Rights to moments of celebration

Praia, Mar 31 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Justice defended today no postpones of Human Rights to moments of celebration and circumstantial speeches to become true shields of protection.

These must also, according to Joana Rosa, become ideal tools for the continuous construction and reinforcement of democracies and respect for the dignity of every woman, man and child.

“In this sense, the action of the States and of each citizen is decisive”, said the Minister who was speaking at the opening ceremony of a meeting to socialize the Recommendations of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), which took place today in the Conference Room of the Palace of Government.

Moreover, the Minister stressed that Cape Verde has assumed its role in the national and international context, with the State, and above all the Government, having special attributions.
