Espargos, Jan 25 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Tourism and Transport cautioned that it is necessary to look at the causes behind “this destabilization” of air transport in the country, ensuring that the Government is investing to stabilize the flag carrier.
Carlos Santos made these statements during an exclusive interview with Inforpress, when asked about the situation of transport, a sector that has been very contested in recent times.
According to the official, the air transport sector was the most affected by the pandemic, explaining at the same time that the company that carried out inter-island transport ended up giving up, and the Government, however, responded “quickly” by hiring another company, which, as I said, is working until now.
Alongside TACV’s situation, he continued that in less than nine months after privatization, the partners ended up giving up.
