Espargos, Aug 31 (Inforpress) – The president of Cabo Verde Chamber of Tourism, Gualberto do Rosário, said Monday that it is “a source of pride” Cabo Verde to host an international tourism event, concerning the whole Africa.
Gualberto do Rosário was referring to the 64th meeting of the UNWTO Regional Commissions in Africa (UNWTO) in Africa, which will take place on September 2, in the Sal Island, in which Cabo Verde is elected, for the first time, as host country.
“For us it is a source of pride because it is the recognition, effective, of what Cabo Verde has done to promote tourism in the country. This event is the result of merit. Cabo Verde deserves to be held here,” he said in an interview with Inforpress.
According to Gualberto do Rosário, it is a “great opportunity” for all actors linked to the sector in this debate, which will take place for three days in the city of Santa Maria, but also to begin to have “new perspectives, new horizons and look to the African continent as an outbound market”.
