IPC promotes training course in heritage education methodology for teachers of Salineiro

Praia, Apr 6 (Inforpress) – The Institute of Cultural Heritage promotes, from today to April 10, a training course in Heritage Education Methodology for Teachers at the Salineiro School, in partnership with the School Delegation of Ribeira Grande de Santiago.

The training, aimed at 30 teachers, will take place at the Elementary School in Salineiro, with a workload of ten hours, and will be taught by the technicians from the Institute of Cultural Heritage (IPC).

To Inforpress, Cláudio Ramos, the coordinator of World Heritage Management of Cidade Velha, explained this training objective is to raise awareness among the educational community for a more valuable approach to cultural heritage, focused on theoretical and practical issues in the field of its preservation as a source of knowledge.

“We want to train basic education teachers and some of history, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande de Santiago, so that we can have more heritage education,” he said.
