IPC and partners start project to introduce lighthouses on Cabo Verde’s Cultural and Tourist Routes

Praia, May 23 (Inforpress) – The Cultural Heritage Institute (IPC) started today, in the city of Praia, the seminar “Cultural and Tourist Routes linked to the Lighthouses of Cabo Verde”.

This is a three-year project with a minimum budget of €150,000 per year.

The event, held in partnership with the Maritime Port Institute (IMP) and the Spanish Agency for Development Cooperation (AECID), through the ACERCA program, aims to introduce lighthouses to Cultural Routes and Itineraries that are emerging as a tourism product. cultural.

The intention is also to provide knowledge and possibilities that Cultural Routes and Itineraries have as an instrument for the development of the territory, through the culture and elements of Cabo Verde.

Speaking to the press, the general coordinator of Spanish cooperation in Cape Verde, Patrícia Fernandes, explained that it was a seminar whose purpose was to teach technicians how to incorporate lighthouses into tourist itineraries.
