Mindelo, Apr 28 (Inforpress) – Internet access service increased by about three percent (%) in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to the Electronic Communications Market Statistical Indicators Report published by the Multisectoral Economic Regulatory Agency (ARME).
According to the document made public by ARME today, in the fourth quarter of 2020, the total number of internet access service subscriptions was 444.590, of which 88% were provided by Small Screen Mobile Broadband technology.
“This is due to the different types of plans offered by the operators. This service recorded a penetration rate of 80 accesses per 100 inhabitants”, stated ARME.
Thus, the number of internet access service subscriptions increased by about 3% in the fourth quarter of 2020 compared to the third quarter of 2020. Compared to the same period last year there was a “slight increase” of 0.8%.
