Inauguration of the first private charging station for electric vehicles in the city of Praia

Praia, Mar 6 (Inforpress) – The National Fuel Company (Enacol) inaugurated this Monday, the first private charging station for electric vehicles in Cape Verde, an initiative that, according to the Government, demonstrates the alignment of the sector with the country’s energy transition program.

The General Director of Enacol, Luís Flores, explained that with the inauguration of this first point at the Palmarejo gas station, in the city of Praia, the company is following the market, also presenting sustainable solutions from an environmental point of view.

“Enacol is an energy company associated with mobility. From the moment there is a strong will of the government and intention to move towards electric mobility, it makes perfect sense to move forward with the solution in our service station network”, he said.

For the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Alexandre Monteiro, who presided over the ceremony, this symbolic but important investment will help the country to achieve its ambition in terms of electric mobility.
