Praia, Aug 21 (Inforpress) – The General Inspectorate of Economic Activities (IGAE) reported today that it was seized in one of the establishments in the Quebra Canela area, brandy of unidentified raw material, which was used for the production of caipirinha.
Without mentioning the name of that establishment, IGAE in a statement explained that the banned production brandy was marketed in 25 liter bottles, without any information guaranteeing its traceability to health aggression.
As mentioned in note, each liter of this “illegal drink” is sold at around 200 escudos and the original caipirinha is sold at around 400 escudos each unit.
“One of the clues that the brandy used in the production of caipirinha is not sugarcane is the consequences that appear after its consumption, namely nausea, vomiting and headache,” read.
