Praia, Jan 24 (Inforpress) – The secretary general of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS) warned Wednesday that if transport problems are not finally solved Cabo Verdean entrepreneurs will continue to have difficulties in their businesses and investments.
José Luis Neves, speaking in an interview with Inforpress, pointed to the issue of transportation as one of the least achieved aspects in the year 2018.
“The country continues to have major constraints in terms of maritime links, despite all the measures announced and implemented for the restructuring of the maritime transport sector and the concession of maritime transport”, he said.
José Luis Neves explained that the transportation problem ends up aggravating another problem related to the small size of the Cabo Verdean market. In this regard, he stressed that air and maritime transport are “fundamental” to ensure connectivity and the unification of the market.
