Praia, May 25 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Institute of Children and Adolescents (ICCA), Maria do Livramento Silva, today called on parents to have more attention and greater responsibility to children, because “times are different”.
Maria do Livramento Silva made this appeal, in remarks to Inforpress, as part of the International Missing Children’s Day, which is celebrated today, aiming to encourage the population and the media to reflect on the children reported missing and spread a message of hope and solidarity to the parents and families living this problem.
“If before it was common to leave children to the eye of a neighbor or friend and send them to the store to make some purchase, nowadays we have to be more attentive, because what was allowed in the old days is no longer advised,” she said.
According to this responsible, with development the danger is closer to the child, so their steps should be care and closely monitored.
