Praia, 13 Oct. (Inforpress) – The Humana Foundation announced that it has launched an international campaign to raise “intimate products” to support Cabo Verdean girls and women affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Cláudia Santos, a Clinical Physiology student in Portugal, and Dárcio Vasconcelos, graduated in Communication Sciences, are the promoters of the solidarity event.
“The initiative aims to support families most in need,” those responsible for this social solidarity foundation told Inforpress Monday, recognizing that, with the current pandemic situation in the country and in the diaspora, the reduction of the economic power of families has had a very negative impact on their lives.
“The reduction in economic activity resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic has a very substantial negative impact on the work income of individuals and, as such, on the disposable income of families”, stressed, Cláudia Semedo, president of the foundation, and resident in Portugal. Among the goods will be raised, we can highlight sanitary napkins, deodorants, toothpaste and body cream.
