Praia, 06 Sep (Inforpress) – The Cultural activist Hermem Freire told Inforpress today that she feels “very happy and grateful” to be among the 10 finalists of across the African continent of the Pitch O’Feminin 2023 program, with the theme “Batuku – the Rhythm of the Soul”.
“I’m very happy and grateful because my project has been in the drawer for a long time, and I had no hope of getting it out, and when I saw the publication of Korikaxoru Films that the application for the Pitch O’Feminin program was open African 2023, I soon became interested in applying and today I am among the 10 finalists”, She said.
In an interview with Inforpress, the cultural activist also said that it is “proud” to have her film project “Batuku – “O Ritmo da Alma”( the Rhythm of the Soul) selected in the women’s cinema program in Côte d’Ivoire.
For the next step, she continued, it’s her participation in the grand final, which, she explained, depends not only on her, but on the vote of every Cape Verdean, via “online”, and costs around a dollar for each vote, which starts on 10 September until 06 October
