Cidade de Praia, Nov 14 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean rapper Hélio Batalha is promoting a show on the 17th at the Ildo Lobo Culture Palace to commemorate a year of the release of the album “Karta de A’Forria” and to launch his new single “Ka ta da”.
The album that earned him a lot of participation in festivals on all the islands, international shows like Macau, Portugal and Germany, considered by critics as one of the “best of the year”, will be in the mouths and ears of young people, in this live show.
“Karta de A’Forria” divides the stage on this day with the new single “Ka ta da”, which according to the author is a “storytelling” that portrays emigration and racism towards the African population living in Cabo Verde.
“It is a song that portrays the reality of our brothers in the African continent, of the difficulties they face in Cabo Verde and of the prejudice they are treated. It has a strong message and calls the population to reflect on this problem and bring a solution, so I speak of unity, peace, fellowship and exchange of experience,” he emphasized.
