Praia, Jan 15 (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Tourism and Transport and the Ministry of Internal Affairs signed this Friday, in Praia, an institutional collaboration agreement aiming to simplify and reduce bureaucracy around foreign citizens in the country.
The agreement, signed by the director-general of Tourism and Transport, Francisco Martins, and the director of Foreigners and Borders Services, Augusto Teixeira, is part of the Remote Working Cabo Verde Program, which aims to bring foreign citizens to work remotely from the archipelago.
“It is a very important act for the beginning of 2021, after an extremely difficult year, when the COVID-19 pandemic shed all the brilliance that tourism and the Cabo Verdean economy had experienced in 2019, with programs that came pushing the country to a level of development that we want”, said Francisco Martins.
According to the director, at a time when travel is limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the idea is to diversify not only in terms of the national territory, but also in terms of the issuing market.
