Government will relaunch the Digital Nomads program with the creation of the first villages in São Vicente and Tarrafal

Praia, Dec 8 (Inforpress) – The Government will relaunch the Remote Working (remote work) and Digital Nomads program, founded to diversify and defocus the tourist offer, with the creation of the first Digital Nomads Villages in São Vicente and Tarrafal.

The information was forwarded to Inforpress by the administrator of the Tourism Institute, Francisco Martins, who explained that after receiving the first wave of Digital Nomads decided to reconfiguration the program, which it had launched in late 2020.

The programme consists of a temporary work/tourism visa lasting six months, with the possibility of renewal for another six months and is intended for people who are self-employed and can work remotely, using the Internet and other electronic and communication tools that do not require a fixed office.

The first wave of Digital Nomads tourists, a total of three dozen, arrived in Cabo Verde from a contact with a Cabo Verdean, remote working, which works in a multinational company in Hungary.
