Government will delegate powers to private sector in industrial licensing – PM

Praia, April 18 (Inforpress) – The government will delegate a set of powers to representatives of the private sector, namely industrial licensing, announced Monday the Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva.

The head of the Government, who spoke to journalists following his visit to a group of private companies in the first week of the Private Sector in Cabo Verde, said that everything that is not a central element of public activity and require the presence of the State, will be transferred.

“There is a set of competencies that will be delegated namely industry licensing. All that are areas that were the responsibility of ADEI, such as technical assistance, studies, market prospecting does not have to be the state to do if there is one entity that can do the best. So it is in that sense. Everything that is not central to public activity that requires the presence of the state we will transfer, “he said.

Ulisses Correia e Silva stressed that the state has to be a good regulator, a good promoter, a good supporter and work for those who execute, in this case companies or organizations are able to do so.
