Government wants to deepen and extend Special Partnership with European Union

Praia, May 31 (Inforpress) – The Government will work to deepen and extend the Special Partnership with the European Union (EU), which this year celebrated its tenth anniversary, said the minister of  Foreign Affairs thisTuesday in Praia.

“The signs that the Government has received from the European authorities point to the deepening and extension of the Special Partnership between Cabo Verde and the European Union,” said Minister Luis Filipe Tavares during the parliamentary debate on this matter.

The Special Partnership between Cabo Verde and the European Union should be seen as a “fundamental strategic axis” of the country’s foreign policy, the minister stressed.

“We want to have a special lasting partnership with the EU to promote investment in Cabo Verde, grow our economy and generate thousands of jobs,” said Luis Filipe Tavares.
